We are deep in our discussions (Day 3) as a Management Team determining our strategic direction and focus for 2010. We get together as a group every year after our International Convention to see what’s working, what the current state of the economy is, what the headlines are around the world, what the latest science is focusing on, etc. Some might think it’s grueling to sit through meetings for four days straight, but I can tell you that it is not only enlightening, it is very exciting for all of us.
We establish our goals and our focuses for the year and then meet with our groups back at USANA offices throughout the world to implement our plans. This technique helps ensure we work as a collective group to achieve worldwide success. This is an incredible group of people and I am fortunate to have these types of discussions with them. Sometimes the conversations get a little heated, but everyone is willing to hear all points of view before we agree on a point of focus. I can tell you we have had a lot of discussions, but the results after three days have all of us very excited.
I can assure you that we are laser focused on our world-class product line, our incredible business opportunity, and how we plan to keep the momentum we have built up this last year and take it to the next level. There will be a number of great announcements and enhancements that you will see throughout the year. We hope you help us in increasing USANA’s reach around the world so others can experience what an incredible year it will be for the entire USANA family.
Oh, and on a side note, we all got to the room here on Monday and found a unique item that we have not heard the end of. We found bottled water in the room and the name of it will say it all. It’s call “Fred”! Yes, our President Fred Cooper claims it was named after him. His exact words…”I’m kind of a big deal here in Salt Lake!”
It actually set the tone for our group and the meetings. We truly enjoy our discussions, but I can assure you we are just as excited about the fun times we all have together!
